Starting in 2019, Senior Preferred will use MedImpact Direct to give you option of using mail order to receive your medications. MedImpact Direct Mail-order Pharmacy partners with multiple mail-order pharmacies that have dispensing facilities across the country. Their focus is to ensure appropriate utilization by reducing waste, guiding members and physicians toward preferred formulary drugs, and evaluating new therapy options to ensure appropriate drug therapy. A MedImpact Direct pharmacist reviews every prescription before it is sent to the fulfillment pharmacy for dispensing. A MedImpact Direct pharmacist is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency needs outside of normal business hours.
Mail order offers convenience by shipping medications to your home. Using MedImpact Direct Mail-order, you can:
- Fill prescriptions for medications three months at a time so you only need to refill four times per year (not applicable to specialty medications).
- Get possible savings when a medication is filled for three months at a time.
- Talk directly to a pharmacist.
- Receive medications within 10 days of the date they receive your order.
